Chestnut Ridge Child Partial Hospitalization

Monongalia County children (1st – 5th Grade) are afforded an opportunity to participate in the Child Partial Hospitalization Program at Chestnut Ridge Center. Children with behavior and / or psychiatric disorders that interfere with school functioning are accepted into the program. This program meets Monday – Friday from 8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

The program is designed to provide a structured treatment and a supportive atmosphere through formal and informal interventions. The program works to promote and maintain a stable and cohesive therapeutic environment. Openness, communication, awareness, behavior change, and success are encouraged.

The youth participate in four (4) hours of group (which includes therapeutic interventions of talk, art, recreation, and experiential activities) and two (2) hours of education each day. In addition, family therapy is an intricate part of the treatment program.

Referrals to the Child Partial Hospitalization Program are made through the Monongalia County School System. For more information, please call (304) 598-6429.
