Buckhannon Moose Lodge makes donation to Bonnie’s Bus

The Loyal Order of Moose Lodge No. 598 in Buckhannon is helping Bonnie’s Bus stay on the road. The service organization raised $800 for the WVU Cancer Institute mobile mammography program this fall through an event involving both male and female members of the lodge. “We held a wet He-shirt contest,” Yvette Squires, senior regent of the Buckhannon Women of the Moose Chapter 319, said. “The men, ranging in age from 22 to 80, wore white T-shirts and paraded in front of our ladies, who sprayed them down as they walked by. We had fun with it and were happy to raise money for a worthy cause. Breast cancer has touched the lives of our lodge members.” Members also sold breast cancer awareness bracelets and ribbons and put together a gift basket, which will be used at a future fundraiser to support the Bonnie’s Bus Program.
