Dr. Clay Marsh joins Episode 3 of WVU's COVID-19 podcast

The third episode of "WVU and the Coronavirus" is now available for download on Apple Podcasts and Spotify.

In our third episode, we talk to Dr. Clay Marsh, vice president and executive dean for WVU Health Sciences. Dr. Marsh serves as West Virginia's COVID-19 czar, and has been part of the state's response team to the coronavirus. We look back on how West Virginia responded to the pandemic in the early stages, the actions it took to keep people safe, and what has driven the decision to slowly reopen, with an eye toward reopening West Virginia University to on-campus instruction in the fall.

In this interview-driven series, “WVU and the Coronavirus” will examine what we already know about COVID-19, find out the latest information about the virus, explore how RNA viruses like coronaviruses work, and learn how the University community has responded to the global pandemic.

Previous episodes feature Dr. Lisa Costello discussing COVID-19, and Dr. Ivan Martinez, who talks about RNA viruses.

Written by Stacey Elza, Wendy Holdren and David Ryan. Narrated by David Ryan. Sound mixed by Sean Hines.
