The Office of Research and Graduate Education is pleased to announce the expansion of services involving Post-Award Administration of sponsored projects within the Health Sciences Center.

Lana Yoho will serve as Director of HSC Post-Award Administration. Additionally, David Fulaytar has joined Lana as Grants Administrator for HSC Sponsored Projects Post-Award Administration. Their focus will be on proper management and administration of sponsored projects awarded to the HSC. Both employees bring years of knowledge and service to the HSC with them to aide in their new roles. Lana was formerly the Business and Grants Administrator for the Department of Biochemistry in the HSC School of Medicine, and Dave was the Sr. Program Administrator for the Center for Rural Emergency Medicine (CREM) within the School of Medicine, and more recently, the Injury Control Research Center (ICRC) within the HSC School of Public Health.

Under this new arrangement, Lana and Dave will assist departmental staff assigned to post-award grants administration as a resource to provide the guidance and information to implement best practices for accurate and responsible spending of sponsored project dollars. In addition, they will work with HSC departments as well as serve as the HSC liaison to the WVU Offices of Sponsored Programs and Sponsored Projects and Property Administration (formerly Sponsored Research Accounting) as needed to facilitate HSC compliance with university, state and federal practices for administering sponsored projects.

With the recent relocation of administrative personnel in the HSC Office of Research and Graduate Education to the WVU Biomedical Research Building, Lana and Dave’s offices will be located on the ground floor of Erma Byrd in rooms G-112 (Lana) and G-115 (Dave).
