School of Pharmacy Dean visits alumni in Low Country

On Saturday, June 22, West Virginia University School of Pharmacy Dean Bill Petros attended the Low Country Mountaineers BBQ Bash and Pepperoni Bake Off in Charleston, SC. The School’s Alumni Association Coordinator Betsy Elswick and Director of Development Kevin Tephabock also attended.

Other guests included the Mountaineer Mascot, Timmy Eads, Dean of the WVU School of Nursing, Tara Hulsey, and author of West Virginia Pepperoni Roll, Candance Nelson.

The event was held at The Citadel Holliday Alumni Center and included all-you-can-eat BBQ from Martin’s BBQ Joint as well as live entertainment. 2019 marked the 12th year for the event, which hosts up to 175 Mountaineers from the Low Country each year. It is sponsored by the South Carolina Low Country Mountaineers Chapter of the West Virginia University Alumni Association to help raise money for the Charles Drake Memorial Scholarship Fund.
