Surgery Grand Rounds: Improving survival from the active shooter

Grand Round, Okey Patteson Auditorium, 8-9 a.m.

The Department of Surgery will host Alexander L. Eastman, MD, MPH, FACS, FAEMS, for an upcoming Grand Round on Wednesday, Oct. 17, from 8 – 9 a.m. in the Okey Patteson Auditorium.

The 2018 Peter Mucha, Jr. Visiting Professor, Dr. Eastman, senior advisor of the Department of Homeland Security and Dallas Police Department lieutenant and chief medical officer, will present “Improving Survival from the Active Shooter: A Personal Story.”

Following the lecture, active shooter and stop the bleed training courses will take place at 9 a.m.
