WVU Medicine employees invited to participate in self-ID campaign

As a federal contractor, WVU Medicine is subject to certain governmental recordkeeping and reporting requirements for the administration of civil rights laws and regulations. In order to comply with these laws, WVU Medicine is inviting employees to voluntarily self-identify their race, gender, disability status, and veteran status.

Employees are invited to self-identify by reviewing and updating their private information in Ulti-Pro. Click here for single sign-on and WVUH Ulti-Pro users. Click here for UHA and direct login users.

The window for self-identifying is May 24 through June 9.

Why is this important? This information is vital to a successful affirmative action plan and compliance with government recordkeeping and reporting requirements. The more data WVU Medicine can collect, the more the organization will know about its personnel makeup, and, in turn, the better it will be able to provide opportunities in the future.

Please note the submission of this information is voluntary and declining to provide it will not subject an employee to any adverse treatment. The information will be kept confidential and will only be used in accordance with the provisions of applicable laws, executive orders, and regulations, including those that require the information to be summarized and reported to the federal government for civil rights enforcement. When reported, data will not identify any specific individual.

For more details, please see this list of FAQs.

Before updating information, employees can review both self-id forms:

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability

Voluntary Self-Identification of Veteran Status, Ethnicity and Gender
