Most, but not all, insurance companies cover bariatric surgery. Prior to attending the seminar, all patients are asked to contact their own insurance company to inquire about their specific benefits/policy. Be aware that many insurance companies will authorize weight loss surgery only after you present proof that you have made long-term attempts to lose weight through diet and exercise.
