Each patient receives an extensive evaluation by a specially trained physician, who then works with the patient and other members of the Spine Center team to determine the best course of action, whether it's surgery or non-operative management of the problem.
Beverly Epstein, MD, the Spine Center director, specializes in neuron-rehabilitative medicine. A board-certified neurologist who is also a physical therapist, Dr. Epstein is an expert at evaluation, management and rehabilitation of neurological and orthopaedic problems related to the neck and back.
