Mask Up to Slow Down COVID-19
West Virginia University, including all Health Sciences campuses, is requiring all individuals regardless of vaccination status to wear a mask indoors in all WVU System buildings effective Sept. 13. The university has issued updated mask requirements due to the significant rise of COVID-19 cases in West Virginia, including the increasing instances of hospitalization across the state. Dr. Clay Marsh has called this “A Critical Moment for West Virginia.”
With safe and effective COVID-19 vaccines readily available, WVU strongly encourages students, faculty and staff to be vaccinated to help provide community immunity. It is also important to continue COVID-19 testing to help prevent infections.
