Creating Accessible Content

Well structured content that is viewable by anyone viewing your site is a foundational part of creating content for digital spaces. When developing information, be mindful of these guidelines.

  • Organize content with clear headings and subheadings.

  • Keep pages focused on a single topic.

  • Write in plain language. Avoid technical jargon when possible.

  • Use alternative text for all images.

  • Provide transcripts or captions for all multimedia.

  • Ensure PDFs are checked for accessibility using Adobe Acrobat tools

Improper use or incorrect structure will result in information being either corrected or removed by the Health Sciences Communications & Marketing Digital team.
