Sauteed Swiss Chard and Onions

Ingredients
- 1 large bunch Swiss chard, stems chopped, leaves chopped in strips 1 inch wide
- 1/4 large red onion, chopped
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 pinches red pepper flakes (more if you want extra heat)
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a sauté pan over medium-high heat.
- Add onion and red pepper flakes. Cook until onion begins to soften and turn translucent, about 3 minutes.
- Add Chard and cook for 5 minutes. It will greatly reduce in size.
- Cover and cook over medium heat for 2-3 minutes until the chard reaches desired texture.
- Add salt to taste. A few pinches should do.
