About the Program
For: College sophomores, juniors, seniors and graduate students
About: Paid summer program designed to enhance competitiveness as students prepare to apply to health professional schools in programs such as dentistry, medicine, pharmacy, occupational therapy and physical therapy.
Requirements: Based on readiness to apply for professional school and take the Kaplan prep course as well as meeting at least one of the following criteria: (1) low income, (2) rural, (3), first generation college student, or (4) former HSTA student.
Cost: The program includes a one week on campus program to prepare for the application and interview processes. Students receive a $90 stipend for each of the 5 days of the on-campus portion of the program.
Acceptance Information: Students receive a free Kaplan review course for either the Dental Admissions Test (DAT), the Medical College Admissions Test (MCAT), the Pharmacy College Admissions Test (PCAT) or the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) for allied health
Deadlines: There are 10 spaces available and students are reviewed on a first come, first serve basis.

Additional Details
Preparation for the application and interviewing process for professional school including mock interviews; shadowing in health care clinics and/or research laboratories. The program includes a one week on campus program to prepare for the application and interview processes, followed by an at home self-paced Kaplan review course.
