Day of Giving results for School of Public Health

Thanks to the generous support School of Public Health students, faculty, staff, alumni and friends, the School raised a total of $15,318 from 78 gifts during WVU's sixth Day of Giving. 

This year, participation was bolstered by a challenge gift from Dr. Clay and Gail Marsh, which added an additional $2,000 to the School of Public Health's overall total after the first 55 gifts were made.

This year's priority funding areas included: 

  • MPH Scholarship Fund - Supports graduate students in the Master of Public Health program
  • Workforce Development - Supports public health workforce training needs across the state 
  • Health & Wellness - Supports our faculty and students in addressing issues related, but not limited to: physical activity, obesity, substance use disorder and mental health. 
  • Dean's Fund for Excellence in Public Health - Supports the School’s ability to innovate and respond to our most pressing needs and opportunities
