The PDMO sets and maintains standards for project management that follows an evidence-based agile methodology that is consistent with the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK). All Health Affairs program managers are masters prepared subject matter experts, certified in project management, with diversified backgrounds in health services experience ranging from managing state Medicaid programs to leading state-wide implementation of health data collection systems. Through continuous training, our program managers acquire a variety of skills and knowledge. This includes a comprehensive understanding of the project lifecycle and practical elements of the projects including how to identify risks and manage issues, fiscal management, change management, and task and timeline management.
