Postdoctoral Fellow, Evan Devallance, from Dr. Tim Nurkiewicz’s laboratory, was recently awarded $65,310 for a yearlong F32 Postdoctoral Fellowship funded project from the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute entitled “Nox1-mediated transcriptional de-repression and activation of CXCL12 expression in hypoxic pulmonary endothelial cells and PAH”. This current project aims to understand how cells from the inside lining of lung blood vessels multiple under low oxygen levels and lead to pulmonary arterial hypertension.
