Unique Learning Opportunities

Whether across the globe or around the table of a board game, the WVU School of Nursing offers so many fun and innovative approaches to learning.

Studying abroad can provide our students with unique global perspectives and cultural insights, which will broaden their minds and improve their care of a diverse patient population.

And learning opportunities like the "Friday Night at the ER" game can help our students gain a deeper understanding of the complexities operating a hospital.

I'm so grateful for our faculty leaders who are always crafting the highest quality and most engaging experiences for our students.

Let's Go,
Dean Hulsey

WVU Nursing alum teaches proper hand-washing

Jordan Gray, a nurse from Oak Hill Middle School, completed a lesson with Ms. Wingrove’s 2nd grade class at New River Primary. Students learned the proper way to wash their hands and were taught about the different germs that can be found on their hands. Ms. Gray put a gel on the students’ hands to show them the germs and used a light for them to see them. This was a great lesson for young students and a great way to encourage good hand washing skills, as well as implement healthy habits.
