Barriers of Cell Phone Law Enforcement

What Are the Barriers of Cell Phone Law Enforcement for University, Local, and State Police: A Qualitative Study

Dr. Toni Rudisill

Dr. Rudisill is conducting a study exploring police perceptions and barriers to enforcing laws related to cell phone use while driving. The potential impact of this study is that it may inform policy makers’ decisions when creating or changing cell phone use while driving legislation. If enacted policies are not or cannot be adequately enforced, then they will not be effective in reducing cell phone-related motor vehicle collisions, injuries, and deaths.
