Many of West Virginia’s residents are faced with chronic diseases that could be alleviated by healthy dietary habits, sleep, physical activity and mental wellness. By creating working relationships with health care professionals who value healthy practices, medical students, physicians and other health care providers assist West Virginians in improving their health in all aspects of their lives.
The School of Medicine is on the ground floor of culinary and lifestyle medicine equipping medical students with the skills and expertise to help patients avoid or better manage chronic diseases including diabetes, obesity and cancer.
