WVU Cancer Institute's Cancer Prevention and Control, in collaboration with the West Virginia Cancer Registry, has released the 2019 West Virginia Cancer Burden Report. The report provides updated statewide, age-adjusted incidence rates and counts for cancer diagnosed among West Virginia residents from 2012 to 2016.
The annual report is a valuable resource for public health professionals as well as clinicians as it includes updates on incidence and mortality, county-level rates, and an in-depth look at eight different cancer-related topics. Included in the report are summaries, one-page infographics, and resource pages for breast cancer, cervical cancer, lung cancer, colorectal cancer, HPV-associated cancers, and tobacco-related cancers. The report is available on the WV Cancer Registry website.
