Bill Frye recently joined University Relations-Health Sciences as a web communications specialist.
Bill will be responsible for providing a wide range of content creation, writing and editing for Health Sciences schools, units and programs. He will coordinate website content, announcements for internal and external communication, feature stories, press releases and oversee the Health Sciences Employee Hub. Bill's role will also offer website analytical assistance for content published by University Relations-Health Sciences.
Previously, Bill spent a portion of his career as a journalist in the state of West Virginia, including The Register-Herald in Beckley and other news organizations. He also spent time as the marketing director of Greenbrier Valley Theatre, the State Professional Theatre of West Virginia, where he was responsible for promotional photography, social media campaigns and website management.
Bill is originally from Weston, W.Va. and is a WVU alumnus with a Master’s Degree in Journalism and is former member of the Pride of West Virginia marching band.
