The first phase of the West Virginia University School of Dentistry capital improvements supported by congressionally directed spending is now open to the public, following a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Wednesday August 19.
U.S. Sen. Shelley Moore Capito, R-W.Va., attended the ribbon-cutting along with WVU President Michael T. Benson and Clay Marsh, M.D., chancellor and executive dean at WVU's Health Sciences Campus.
West Virginia University’s School of Dentistry’s Phase 1 marks a complete redesign of its clinics, which is the first modernization of the school’s physical spaces since it opened in 1957. Completion of the first phase of the multiphase project brings together modernized Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontic clinics, Dental Group Practice, and Dental Innovation Center at the WVU Health Sciences Center.
