Answering the Call: Keyser Campus supports local food pantry

The WVU School of Nursing Keyser Campus recently answered a call on social media from the Mineral County Faith in Action Food Pantry for an urgent request for food items.

Nursing students took the initiative to place boxes around campus and gathered donations to deliver to the pantry to help those in need in the community.

Brenna Jackson, a junior in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program, and Brooklyn Palmer, and sophomore BSN student, are posed for a quick photo at the Faith in Action site where they delivered the donations recently.

“Nursing’s acts of kindness are far-reaching,” said Dr. April Shapiro, Keyser Campus Chair. “I’m so proud of our students for going above and beyond.”
