Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders (AAPI) virtual outreach event set for April 8

In the aftermath of the tragic Atlanta Spa Shootings, members of the West Virginia University community want to gather in a show of solidarity and community support. While violence and discrimination against Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders (AAPI) is increasing, it is far from new. The time to reckon with the history of AAPI Hate in America is long past due.

On Thursday, April 8, from 4 to 5:30 p.m., the WVU Health Sciences Center will be hosting a virtual discussion in the spirit of remembrance, healing, and justice. This will be a participatory event and all are invited and welcome to share.

If you are interested in helping be a part of this event, please contact Prof. Beth Nardella at bnardella@hsc.wvu.edu.
