Gee Mail: A new era for a treasured tradition

As nearly 4,500 students gear up for the first in-person Commencement at West Virginia University in nearly two years, President Gordon Gee could not help but to soak in the atmosphere beforehand at Milan Puskar Stadium in this edition of Gee Mail.

The Classes of 2020 and 2021 will get to shine during four in-person ceremonies, with COVID-19 protocols in effect, at the stadium this weekend (May 15-16).

“This will be a Commencement unlike any other, Gee said. “Each of our graduates demonstrated the utmost resiliency and versatility during these challenging times.”

In the video, Gee also offers a few parting words of advice to the soon-to-be WVU graduates. For more information, visit graduation.wvu.edu
