Ihle to serve on state respiratory care board
Rayan Ihle, MD has been appointed to serve as the physician member of the West Virginia Board of Respiratory Care by Governor Earl Ray Tomblin. An initial appointment length is four years.
The West Virginia Board of Respiratory Care provides oversight of the licensing of respiratory care practitioners in the state. The Board is responsible for providing guidelines for licensing requirements, renewal of licenses, continuing education requirements and investigation and/or prosecution of license violations.
"I am truly honored and humbled by this appointment. This is a wonderful opportunity to serve my state," Ihle said. "I look forward to advancing the practice of respiratory care and upholding high standards in education and competency for the betterment of West Virginians."
Dr. Ihle is an assistant professor of internal medicine at the West Virginia University School of Medicine in Charleston. She is fellowship trained holding board certifications within internal medicine for pulmonary medicine and critical care and is also separately board certification in pediatrics.
