LGBTQ+ Center hosts June events

LGBTQ+ Center hosts June events

The WVU LGBTQ+ Center will host two events in June — a PRIDE Hike and The Great Pride Bake-Off.

The PRIDE Hike is scheduled for Saturday, June 4 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the West Virginia Botanic Garden. LGBTQ+ folks and allies are invited to attend to celebrate Pride Month during the event.

The event will offer a scenic hike, beautiful flowers, and community-building. Attendees are invited to wear their favorite rainbow gear (and comfortable shoes). Look for the large Rainbow PRIDE Flag at the main entrance.

Registration is required to participate.

Additionally, the WVU LGBTQ+ Center invites all LGBTQ+ and allied faculty and staff to participate in The Great PRIDE Bake-Off on Monday, June 6 at 4 p.m.

The bake-off is a friendly competition where a panel of judges will determine the top baked goods in this friendly competition in celebration of LGBTQ+ PRIDE Month.

If it's a baked good (cakes, cookies, pastries, pies, etc.), it's eligible to compete. Have a crowd-pleaser favorite baked good recipe? Put it to the test! The judging will take place at the LGBTQ+ Center (Maple House, 724 College Avenue, Morgantown).

To enter the competition, or to simply attend the judging, registration is required.
