Virtual 'Mindful Mondays' series emphasizes self-care during COVID-19

Mindfulness is the ability to focus one’s attention in the here and now. The results of mindfulness changes our relationship to stress, lessens reactivity, enhances sleep, and increases resiliency.

Join the Mindful Steps team to begin or renew your mindfulness practice, address common challenges, and learn tips for applying mindful practices during COVID-19. This four-part series will take place Mondays at noon via Zoom Video Conferencing (August 3, 17, 31 and September 14) and is for students, faculty, and staff of WVU, as well as employees of WVU Medicine.

Participants can expect to be engaged in a variety of mindful exercises purposefully designed to provide personal and professional value, including:

  • Balancing techniques for burnout
  • Mindful self-care
  • Solutions for the sleepless
  • Holistic techniques for pain and sickness
