Registration open for West Virginia Healthcare Safety, Quality and Experience Improvement Research Day

Registration is open for the 2024 West Virginia Healthcare Safety, Quality and Experience Improvement Research Day which takes take place Tuesday, Feb. 27, from 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. in the Pylons area of the Health Sciences Center in Morgantown.

This research fair is hosted by WVU Medicine and WVU Health Sciences and provides a platform for WVU healthcare workers and trainees to prepare and present oral and poster presentations focused on improving outcomes for patients and communities.

Participation is open to any WVU Health Sciences faculty, resident, fellow or medical students as well as dental students, nursing students and WVU Medicine nurses. Participants can submit presentations in one of three available categories: healthcare safety, quality/performance improvement and healthcare experience for patients, families and staff.

Those who wish to participate in this event are asked to register online.

Following registration, participants can submit the abstract for their presentation from Friday, Dec. 1 – Monday, Jan. 15.

The fair features morning, lunch and afternoon sessions for presentations, as well as an informative session delivered by a special guest speaker and an awards ceremony at the conclusion of the event.

Schedule of Events

  • 8 – 11:30 a.m. Morning Session (breakfast, welcome speech, poster presentations)
  • 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. Lunch Session (poster presentations, lunch, guest speaker)
  • 1 – 4 p.m.Afternoon Session (poster presentations, oral presentations, award ceremony)
