Together, providers will have the ability to give an enhanced level of care to infants, children, and adolescents close to home. Providing these capabilities and best practices will allow Uniontown Hospital and WVU Medicine Children’s to ensure affordable, accessible, and comprehensive care for their most vulnerable patients.

“Our mission at WVU Medicine Uniontown Hospital is to bring world-class healthcare to our patients in our own community,” David Hess, M.D., president and CEO of Uniontown Hospital, said. “This affiliation with WVU Medicine Children’s will make good on this commitment by giving access to this level of care to the children in our region. As a pediatrician, and parent, I recognize that our children’s health and well-being has to be our top priority.”

This collaboration will provide state-of-the-art, nationally recognized pediatric care for families in the area through access to sub-specialty care, preventive care, research, and education programs.

“WVU Medicine Children’s and Uniontown Hospital share a dedication to improving children’s health,” Amy L. Bush, B.S.N., M.B.A., R.N., C.N.O.R., WVU Medicine Children’s chief operating officer, said. “We look forward to an alliance that will provide families access to the best of both of our organizations. Together, we will advance patient care by keeping children’s wellbeing at the center of all we do.”
