WVU Medicine Urology adds two fellowship-trained surgeons
MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – WVU Medicine Urology has added two fellowship-trained surgeons – one in Urologic Oncology and one in Reconstructive Urology and Prosthetics – to the Department.
John Barnard, M.D., a native of Ripley, specializes in male lower urinary tract reconstruction, minimally invasive upper urinary tract reconstruction, and disorders of the male genitalia. His specialty includes treating penile curvature, erectile dysfunction, and male urinary incontinence utilizing prosthetics as indicated. He received his medical degree from WVU School of Medicine, where he remained for his general surgery internship and urology residency. He then completed the Eric S. Wisenbaugh Fellowship in Genitourinary Reconstructive Surgery and Prosthetics at the University of California, Irvine in Orange, California.
Ali Hajiran, M.D., a native of Wheeling, specializes in treating kidney, bladder, prostate, ureteral, and testicular cancers. Dr. Hajiran offers cutting-edge minimally invasive robotic surgery, open surgery, and endoscopic surgery approaches based on each individual patient’s case. He received his medical degree from the WVU School of Medicine, where he also completed a general surgery internship and urology residency. He then completed a two-year fellowship accredited by the Society of Urologic Oncology at H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center and Research Institute in Tampa, Florida.
