WVU Nursing faculty participates in NLN Scholarly Writing Retreat

Stephanie Young, a West Virginia University School of Nursing clinical assistant professor, was accepted and recently participated in the Fall/Winter 2023 National League for Nursing Scholarly Writing Retreat.

The Scholarly Writing Retreat is a mentoring program of the NLN Chamberlain University College of Nursing Center for the Advancement of the Science of Nursing Education.

Led by Dr. Marilyn Oermann, the retreat featured two virtual sessions with the goal of preparing participants to author a manuscript for publication.

“I was thrilled to work with renowned scholars Marilyn Oermann and Leslie Block,” Young said. “The end result will be submitting a manuscript based on my dissertation. It's in final revision now and I'm hoping to submit in January.”
