WVU School of Nursing faculty member to present at Phyt’arom

Marian “Marnie” Reven, an assistant professor in the Adult Health Department of the WVU School of Nursing, will share a presentation at Phyt’arom, the international congress on applied aromatherapy and phytotherapy.

“This is a great opportunity,” Reven said. “I will prerecord and share a joint presentation with a French pharmacist, Dr. Sabrina Boutefnouchet, from the Gattefossé Foundation.”

In January 2021, Reven and many other researchers, scholars, and aromatic practitioner colleagues from around the globe formed the Aromatic Research Quality Appraisal Taskforce (ARQAT) to bring attention to the state of science in aromatics.

Her presentation during Phyt’arom, “The Quality of Clinical Research and Clinical Therapy Perspectives,” will highlight the work of ARQAT.

The Gattefossé Foundation and ARQAT share common goals, as both the foundation and ARQAT seek to promote the best in aromatic practice and research. Reven shared her gratitude for their support and partnership in the work of aromatics.

“Being a part of Phyt’arom is a big honor and I’m looking forward to sharing the stage with international speakers from across the globe,” Reven said.

Phyt’arom is set for Sept. 30 and Oct. 1, 2022.
