Dr. Lorita D. Jenab was appointed Dean of the WVU School of Nursing in 1968. She served in the dean’s role for 24 years.
With Deepest Sympathy
I write this message with a heavy heart, as former Dean Dr. Jenab passed away June 12.
Education was essential to Dr. Jenab. She dedicated her life first to learning, and then to providing nursing education to others.
Dr. Jenab dedicated 24 years to the WVU School of Nursing. She touched so many lives during her career and we are grateful for her years of service.
Under her leadership, the number of graduates in the baccalaureate nursing program increased five-fold; she implemented the Master of Science in Nursing program in 1975; and she extended the program to other campus locations.
Memories and messages may be shared on the Carpenter & Ford Funeral Home "Tribute Wall." Service details and more about Dr. Jenab's life can be found at her full obituary in the link below.
