WVU School of Nursing welcomes decorated advisor, Beth Lefevre

Beth Lefevre, of Morgantown, has joined the Office of Student Services as an advisor for the West Virginia University School of Nursing just in time for the Fall 2023 semester.

Lefevre’s interest in student advising arose after her own experiences with her college advisor.

“When I was an undergraduate student, many many years ago, I didn't have very good advising and just randomly said, ‘You know, one of these days I'd like to be an advisor because I'd like to make a difference in a student's life.'”

In 2002, Lefevre was officially hired as an advisor for what is now known as the WVU College of Applied Human Sciences. She has since worked with a variety of majors and programs, but more specifically helping majors.

Her passion for helping professions eventually led her to the School of Nursing, where she plans on helping pre-nursing majors create a successful and personal academic path.

Lefevre is dedicated to supporting nursing students during their undergraduate journey: “I will be present and available as much as possible, encouraging them, because I know that the School of Nursing is very competitive.”
