WVU School of Pharmacy hosts Alumni Day

The West Virginia University School of Pharmacy and its Alumni Association celebrated Alumni Day 2025 on Saturday, May 31. The annual event is an opportunity for former classmates from across the country to return to Morgantown for an all-years reunion dinner and continuing education classes.

The day began with continuing education sessions at the WVU Health Sciences Center. It concluded with a cocktail hour, where attendees shared stories and reminisced over photos and items from their time in pharmacy school, and an Old Fashion BBQ Theme Dinner at the Erickson Alumni Center.

Dr. Betsy Elswick (PharmD, '01), clinical associate professor and alumni association coordinator, served as the event emcee. During dinner, she gave special recognition of five-year reunion classes, including 2020, 2015, 2010, 2005, 2000, 1995, 1990, 1985, 1980, 1975, 1970, 1965, 1960, 1955, 1950, and 1945. Alumni came from as far away as Georgia and Columbus, Ohio, to catch up with friends. The Class of 1975 had the largest group in attendance as they celebrated their 50-year reunion.
