As a PhD student, you will receive full financial support during your training, provided you remain in good academic standing, excel in research, and demonstrate satisfactory progress toward completion of dissertation research.
Such support includes:
- A minimum of $30,000 stipend
- Full coverage of all tuition
- Student health insurance (hospitalization and disability)
You are responsible for student fees (not covered by the tuition waiver), which are approximately $650 for fall and spring semesters and $250 for the summer semester. The payment for student fees is due at the beginning of each semester.
MS students are admitted without stipend support, but may be supported by their thesis mentor if funds are available in that laboratory.
As a PhD or MS student, you may be eligible for loans. Please visit the WVU Financial Aid Office for more information.
