The WVU Transgenic Animal Core Facility maintains a colony of immunodeficient NOD scid gamma (NSG) mice for preclincial human tumor studies. These mice are deficient for B and T cells and functional NK cells, allowing for efficient engraftment of human hematopoietic stem cells or patient derived xenografts.
