Morgantown Health Sciences Campus

A Hub for Health, Research, and Innovation

Morgantown is a city rich with arts, food, music and sports to offer a vibrant lifestyle and excellent academic experience.

The Morgantown Health Sciences campus is the cornerstone of WVU’s academic and research offerings. Just a few miles from downtown Morgantown, this campus is the largest concentration of healthcare, research, and health professions resources in West Virginia. With nearly 4,000 students studying here, they gain access to WVU Medicine hospitals and clinics, advanced research labs, and a wealth of service opportunities throughout the region.

Charleston Health Sciences Campus

Premier Medical Education in the Heart of the State

Charleston is known for its exceptional dining, featuring some of the best chefs and restaurants in the state, along with a rich array of festivals, live music, and concerts. 

The Charleston Health Sciences campus provides third and fourth-year medical students the opportunity to learn at West Virginia’s premier medical teaching facility.  Students engage in specialized training across fields like family medicine, psychiatry, pediatrics, and surgery, while actively contributing to patient care.  Every year, hundreds of students and residents from various healthcare fields become part of the campus's collaborative community, with the Schools of Nursing and Pharmacy also hosting programs at this campus.

Eastern Health Sciences Campus

Rural Health and Community-Centered Learning

The Eastern Health Sciences campus offers a variety of outdoor activities, exceptional dining, and rich cultural experiences, creating a balanced lifestyle for both students and professionals.

Nestled in the scenic Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia, the campus offers personalized faculty interactions and focuses on addressing the state’s health challenges, including diabetes, heart disease, and obesity, through the Center for Diabetes and Metabolic Health.  The campus also supports a clinical partnership with WVU Medicine’s Berkeley and Jefferson Medical Centers, providing students with hands-on opportunities in rural healthcare settings.
