Peer Recovery Support Specialist

A Peer Recovery Support Specialist (PRSS) is someone who is actively and authentically engaged in recovery that has unique-lived experience to guide and support individuals with substance use disorder through the complexities of recovery.

A PRSS is available at emergency rooms, through the Jail Peer Program, and at some clinical treatment centers.
