What is your favorite memory from your time at WVU?
My favorite memory during my time at WVU was competing in the ASHP Clinical Skills Competition, alongside my classmate and friend Joshua Arnold, in Anaheim, CA this year!
Which person at WVU has had the biggest impact on your college experience? How has that person helped you?
Dr. Mary Euler and Ms. Jennifer Clutter have had the biggest impact on my college experience! I’ve had the honor of knowing these two amazing women for the past 6 years and working with them during my time as APhA-ASP chapter president. At every step of the way, Dr. Euler and Ms. Clutter have advocated for me and encouraged me as a student. They are extremely kindhearted, brilliant, and diligent and deeply care about every student! Dr. Euler and Ms. Clutter have brought so much joy not only to my life but to the lives of so many other students! Furthermore, these two women have been wonderful role models for the professional and person I aspire to be. Ultimately, the world is better and brighter with them in it!
As a soon-to-be graduate, what is your best advice for incoming students?
Always believe in yourself and never give up! There will be many obstacles along the way but if you fall get back up! With this mindset, you can achieve anything regardless of how difficult or daunting it may seem. In the wise words of Maya Angelou, “You may encounter many defeats, but you must not be defeated. In fact, it may be necessary to encounter the defeats, so you can know who you are, what you can rise from, how you can still come out of it.”
What will you miss most about WVU?
I will miss the amazing students and faculty/staff that I’ve had the pleasure of getting to know during my time at WVU!
Is there something interesting/fun that you would like to share about yourself? Something people may not know about you.
A fun fact about myself is that I am an artist. In my free time, I love to create oil paintings and other works of art.
