IMPACT WV program offers direct aid for families

The IMPACT WV program is currently able to provide funds to be used for services to families who have a child that was exposed to substances in utero. Biological, foster, adoptive and kinship caregivers who reside in West Virginia are eligible.

Direct Aid:

Up to $250 per family may be covered by IMPACT WV to assist with payment for these types of needs:

• Housing  

• Utilities

• Transportation

• Food

• Domestic violence services

• Dental

• Basic needs

Substance Use Treatment Connections:

Up to $1,000 per mother of a child exposed to substances may be covered by IMPACT WV to connect to substance use treatment services.

IMPACT WV is working with communities in West Virginia to create opportunities designed to improve health outcomes and increase opportunities for women who have, or are currently using substances, and have an infant who has been diagnosed with Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome (NAS) or exposed to substances in utero. The work includes providing outreach, and direct services, along with training and treatment support.
