Student Nurses Association to host conversation on Diversity, Equity & Inclusion

Tuesday, Nov. 15 from 6 to 7 p.m.

The WVU Student Nurses' Association is hosting a conversation about the importance of diversity, equity and inclusion, as well as how to receive constructive feedback from members of different communities to become better allies.

Led by Angela Cartwright, Director of Diversity Initiatives and Community Engagement, the converation will be held Tuesday, Nov. 15 from 6 to 7 p.m. in person in Room 1909 HSC-North.

"Everyone is invited to attend, including faculty and students from any discipline," said Kali Fischer, SNA DEI Representative.

"It is important to attend because we interact with people of different cultures and backgrounds every single day," Fischer said. "It is impossible to know everything about each culture we are going to encounter, but learning an overview on DEI and how to take constructive feedback when we are in the process of learning is essential to respecting other cultures and their experiences."
