WVU School of Medicine Charleston Campus Announces Faculty Promotions

Faculty members at the West Virginia University School of Medicine Charleston Campus have been recognized for their outstanding achievement in teaching, scholarship and research. The appointments are effective July 1.

Jessica L. Luzier, PhD, ABPP, CEDS-S has been promoted to professor of behavioral medicine – disordered eating.

Mary Ann Maurer, DO, FAACP has been promoted to associate professor of family medicine.

Mohamad Badawi, MD has been promoted to associate professor of pediatrics – hemotology/oncology.

John Bishara, DO has been promoted to associate professor of pediatrics – pulmonology and sleep medicine.

Patrikkumar Patel, MD has been promoted to associate professor of pediatrics – pediatric gastroenterology.

Kelly Rennie, MD has been promoted to assistant professor of surgery - trauma.
