About
Night of Recognition focuses on recognizing the hard work and dedication of the many professionals who comprise the trauma system – from the scene of the injury through inpatient hospital care to rehabilitation and recovery.
During the evening, trauma patients’ stories are shared and representatives of each stage of their care receive a Cornerstone of Recovery Award. Patients previously recognized at Night of Recognition celebrations also often attend. Sponsorship opportunities exist for the event; interested donors should explore the “Contact” link at the top of the page to talk to a team member about their options.
Through sponsorship and ticket sales, proceeds from the Night of Recognition will provide crucial funds to the School of Medicine Department of Surgery to help support the life-saving work of the Jon Michael Moore Trauma Center, which provides outreach, teaching, research, and service to your trauma system team, your community, and your families.
If you are not able to attend the event but would like to make a tax-deductible donation to support the trauma team, you can make a One-Time Donation here. Your donation is 100% deductible and you will receive an official gift receipt from the WVU Foundation.
