By increasing awareness of global health issues and providing training and service opportunities abroad, we’re creating safer, healthier communities in West Virginia and around the world.
Hosted in conjunction with Diversity Week, Global Health Week (Sept. 18-22) includes daily presentations increase awareness of global health issues.
This interdisciplinary program is composed of students, faculty and staff and includes activities to promote education of student and all health professionals in global health.
The WVU chapter of Global Brigades works to provide free healthcare, medical access and education for under-served populations and indigenous communities of Nicaragua, Ghana, Honduras, Greece and Panama through service trips.
