Health Professions Education Grand Rounds Series

The Office of Faculty Development is excited to partner with the Department of Medical Education, the Office of Interprofessional Education, and the Medical Education and Administration Fellowship program to introduce a new Health Professions Grand Rounds series during the 2024-2025 academic year.

This new series aims to create a space for educators from across the Health Sciences Center to come together as a community and hear from dynamic speakers both from WVU and across the country talk about new and innovative concepts in health professions education.

As part of the Health Professions Grand Rounds Series, several Educational Morbidity and Mortality sessions will be developed and held. In this exciting new concept, a de-identified difficult educational case will be presented. Aspects of the case that went well as well as opportunities for improvement with a focus on the educational leadership skills and policies you need to know will be presented so that you will know what to do when faced with a similar challenge in the future.

Why should you attend HPE Grand Rounds?

  • Network with your colleagues and help build a community of educators across the HSC
--Enhance your educational skills by learning about both the core concepts in HPE as well as new and innovative methods
  • Learn from difficult cases and scenarios that colleagues at the HSC have faced in the past
