WVU in the News: WVU Medicine announces $350 million towards projects across West Virginia

The West Virginia University Health System Board of Directors has approved a plan to invest hundreds of millions of dollars into healthcare facilities in West Virginia and the surrounding region.

The projects are still working through regulatory approvals and will be in Charleston, Fairmont, Keyser, Morgantown, Parkersburg, Princeton, and Weirton in West Virginia; Oakland, Maryland; and St. Clairsville, Ohio.

The total investment is more than $350 million, bringing the three-year total investment in WVU Medicine capital projects to more than $1.2 billion over the last three years. Construction timelines vary, with some projects expected to be completed as early as 2026 and others extending through 2029.
