Community invited to health and wellness expo

The Health Sciences & Technology Academy (HSTA) is sponsoring a Community Health & Wellness Expo on Sunday, April 24 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. outside the WVU Student Recreation Center (rain location: inside WVU Student Recreation Center).

This event will include a competitive 5k run, two mile community health walk and kid’s fun run. There will be complementary health services provided at no charge and a variety of information related to health and wellness.

This event is open to the community and WVU staff, faculty and students. Come and enjoy the walk or run and the different activities sponsored by various community and campus organizations, learn about health and wellness, enjoy refreshments, and, most importantly, have fun!

Our goal is to provide an inclusive event where people can enjoy the festivities while receiving services and information that will be helpful to their personal health and wellness.

Supported by the Minorities Association of Pre-Healthcare Students (MAPS), WVU Medicine, WVU Health Sciences, WVU Academy of Student Pharmacists (APhA-ASP), WVU Council for Gender Equity, and several other campus and community partners.
