Communications Support
Marketing and communications resources are available to assist students in their research. Students should work with their mentor or faculty adviser to determine if utilizing specific resources would be effective.
For questions related to the resources below, contact the WVU School of Dentistry director of marketing and communications.
Surveys
WVU students have free access to Qualtrics, a web-based tool that allows users to create surveys, polls and online forms. To access Qualtrics, visit wvu.qualtrics.com and login using your WVU Login credentials.
Qualtrics should never be used to collect data the University identifies as Sensitive Data. The ITS team supports a HIPAA-compliant version of Qualtrics for researchers, faculty and staff collecting HIPAA-covered data. This version of Qualtrics is more secure, but less flexible and is granted on a case-by-case basis.
Note: HSC researchers can use WVU Qualtrics if they are not conducting research for a WVU HIPAA-covered entity that involves the collection of protected health information or sensitive data. Researchers seeking more information should review this guidance.
New to Qualtrics? Review this FAQ, which includes a flowchart to illustrate the many use-case scenarios, along with these resources for getting started.
